Giambattista Valli Unveils Haute Couture No. 29
To round off the first day of Haute Couture Week, Giambattista Valli opened the doors of his Salon de Couture to host a twofold special evening last Monday. In this intimate setting, in the heart of his Maison nestled in a passageway opening onto Place de la Madeleine, the Italian couturier welcomed his inner circle and family to attend the ceremony where he received the medal of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Appointed Chevalier in 2023, Giambattista Valli has been promoted to the rank of Officier, which symbolises the French government’s recognition of his remarkable contributions to the arts and fashion. Following an emotional ceremony, the couturier presented his Haute Couture collection, aptly embodying the spirit of this distinction. Evoking the imagery of a pastoral reverie, the Fashion Show saw models wrapped in delicate and romantic gowns wandering like graceful fairies, reminiscent of the muses depicted by masters like Watteau and Fragonard.
We caught a glimpse of Giambattista Valli, alongside Suzy Menkes, Léna Mahfouf, Alexia Niedzielski, Giovanna Battaglia, Bianca Brandolini, and many others.
