Even for those in the know, Paris Couture Week may not always be so easy to decipher, as concerns of our days keep on infiltrating the catwalks. Luckily, we still get to enjoy Fashion Shows like the latest one by Giambattista Valli, who celebrates glamour by fully embracing its magical side. Dresses in gauzy silk chiffon, floral prints and lush embroideries – all revealing the expertise of the Italian couturier’s ateliers – not only delight us but also preserve a heritage that is now scarce. After all, that’s what couture is all about, making spectators dream and drift away as these enchanting, hyper-feminine silhouettes parade.
