Giambattista Valli Brings Moroccan and Indian Flavours to Paris

Pavillon Vendôme, Paris

The Italian fashion designer has often expressed his fascination for these two countries, their age-old traditions and renowned couture expertise. This year, he decided to pay even greater tribute to them by making them the theme of his latest collection. Titled ‘Les jardins de la Menara’, the first part of the fashion show was an hommage to the park’s soothing virtues. Dresses in silk chiffon, as if lifted by the gentle evening breeze, evoked the colours of the local rose gardens. Then the warm hues of the Indian palette came into play, contrasting with a few minty notes that shocked up the colour palette. Delightful, effervescent, ethereal and, more than anything, pure haute couture. As ever, the collection celebrated the feminine body through elegant and sophisticated silhouettes.

At the front row, we bumped into Léna Mahfouf, Derek Blasberg, Megan Thee Stallion, Clara Kong, Gaëlle Pietri, Pritika Swarup, Pelayo Diaz Zapicon and Hiba Abouk.
