From N ° 21 The Moods Of The Lover Are Put On Stage
A collection of moods. Love, joy, passion, well-being, eroticism, sex, disappointment and anger, this is what the lover feels. The lover is neither woman nor man, nor female nor male, just a simple word which defines one who loves.
A word which has taken on a negative shade in today’s collective imagination. This is how Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s reflection for the spring-summer 2023 of N ° 21 began.
It is a show that is made up of ambivalences just like the lovers who “are very much loved by their beloved and most hated by their rivals”.
The variation of senses in everyday life also comes with the taste of secret love. The one initially beautiful, physical and passionate but which inevitably turns into tragedy because it is clandestine and unacceptable. Hidden love.
Alessandro brings the lovers to the catwalk, those with multiple feelings. They wear skirts with a disheveled effect, which do not close at the back. Shirts are made out of silk and transparent nylon with lace inserts, jackets are enriched with feathers. The shirts have a masculine fit, and are mini and crumpled. The culottes and satin bras are the protagonists under transparent lingerie type dresses.
“My collection navigates within the awareness of changing moods using fabrics and colors that become unconscious references in a very cinematographic story. Here you have Monica Vitti, Anna Magnani, Stefania Sandrelli who, through their multiple roles on the screen, become natural references for real women “, comments Alessandro Dell’Acqua.
From the cinema screen to the mobile phone with, on the front row, real women including Ginevra Mavilla, Tamu McPherson, Winta Beyene, Martina De Pretto and Chiara Biasi. Naturally, the male part is made up of Paolo Stella, Giampaolo Sgura and Mattia Stanga among others.
