Fondation Cartier presents its new exhibition, “Nous les Arbres”

Fondation Cartier debuted its new exhibition, “Nous les Arbres,” which examines man’s relationship to nature and specifically to trees. The show brings together artists, botanists and philosophers to highlight the beauty and richness of arboreal representation through drawings, paintings, films, photographs and installations. Anthropologist Bruce Albert, along with exhibition curators Hervé Chandès and Isabelle Gaudefroy, created an aesthetic and scientific journey. The soirée sprawled out onto the terrace and gardens of the Boulevard Raspail building. Giuseppe Penone’s bronze tree and a sculpture by Agnès Varda, which she had specially created for this project, were placed outdoors. The exhibition is on view until November 10th.
