Contemporary art takes on the streets of Paris with Fiac Hors les Murs

The 47th edition of Fiac has just opened its doors in Paris, and while all eyes are on the Grand Palais Ephémère, that’s not all the International Contemporary Art Fair has to offer. Once again this year, the Hors les Murs cultural program will be taking on the streets of Paris. Twenty-five artworks are currently on display in the Tuileries Garden in collaboration with the Louvre and the Tuileries National Estate. At the Eugène Delacroix Museum, Jean Claracq presents a solo exhibition curated by the museum’s director Claire Bessède as a dialogue between the works of Delacroix and the young French artist. The exhibition, presented in collaboration with the Sultana gallery, was inaugurated earlier this week in the presence of Fiac director Jennifer Flay and Philippe Jousse. This year again, the Place Vendôme welcomes a monumental work – everybody remembers Paul McCarthy or Yayoi Kusama’s installations in recent years. American artist Alexander Cadler has installed his ‘Flying Dragon’ on the famous Parisian square in collaboration with the City of Paris and the Gagosian gallery. Once the tour is over, visitors will end their journey on a high note at the Petit Palais, where Jean-Michel Othoniel presents his ‘Théorème de Narcisse’, a large-scale exhibition in collaboration with the Perrotin gallery.
