After a long weekend (which went by way too quickly) at Villa Noailles, it was finally time to reward the winners of the Festival de Hyères’ 33rd edition. Right after the final fashion show, the duo Rushemy Botter & Lisi Herrebrugh (Botter) was awarded the Première Vision Jury Grand Prize by Haider Ackermann. In the photography category, Bettina Rheims awarded the Irish-American photographer Eva O’Leary, while the American Vintage prize went to Sarah Mei Herman. Christelle Kocher, head of the fashion accessories jury, rewarded the trio formed by Julia Dessirier, Flora Fixy and Kate Fichard for their collection of hearing-aid jewelry. Sarah Bruylant, public prize of the city of Hyères, and Ester Manas, who won a collaboration with Galeries Lafayette, are also names to remember. Before nightfall, all jury members from Lou Doillon to Ben Gorham to Elie Top and India Mahdavi met at Hangar de la Mouture for the show. Backstage, excitement prevails as the winners receive accolades from those who put them in the spotlight. And let’s be honest: who hasn’t dreamt of being dubbed by the great Tilda Swinton? For everyone, it is a consecration. After the emotion, it was time to celebrate with a surprise concert by Eddy de Pretto at Hameau des Pesquiers. As the night falls on Hyères, we’re overcome with one desire: to never leave the magic of the Festival.
