Kathia St. Hilaire et Sébastien Tellier Take Over Perrotin Paris
Perrotin Paris kicks off 2026 with a double exhibition opening: Kathia St. Hilaire and Sébastien Tellier.
To celebrate the release of his new album Kiss The Beast on January 30th, musician Sébastien Tellier has been given a carte blanche by Perrotin Paris to curate an exhibition in their Saint-Claude space. The show is built around a dialogue between the musician’s universe and the works of his friend Xavier Veilhan. From the 2017 Venice Biennale to Chanel Haute Couture fashion shows, this isn’t the first time the two friends have collaborated, and this event will feature Veilhan’s monumental guitar, which Sébastien Tellier has played, as well as a sculptural portrait of the musician. Other collaborations with several artists are also presented, including Jean-Baptiste Mondino, André, Charlotte Abramow, Mat Maitland, Jonas Unger and Melchior Leroux. The exhibition is punctuated with listening stations playing the artist’s new album.
As the new year begins, the gallery announces the representation of artist Kathia St. Hilaire on the occasion of her second solo exhibition with Perrotin, entitled ‘The Vocals of the Chaotic Burst’. Through this exhibition, Kathia St. Hilaire pays a vibrant tribute to Frankétienne, a Haitian literary figure and artist who passed away in 2025, and his literary movement, Spiralism. Created in response to the dictatorship that ruled the country between 1957 and 1986, this movement elevates the spiral to the status of a symbol of life, but also of rebellion against any attempt at oppression.
At these openings, organised in collaboration with Perrier-Jouët, Belvedere, Résonance and Apple, we met Jean-Michel Jarre, Xavier Veilhan, André Saraiva, Sophie Calle, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Claire Laffut, Ivan Argote, Laurent Grasso, Christiane Pooley, Malik Djoudi, Jérome Sans, Pablo Mira, and many others.
