Eva Jospin carves out a new world at Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature
From November 16 to March 20, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature invites Eva Jospin for a new exhibition. The French artist is known for her cardboard sculptures, more precisely for the forests she meticulously cuts and hollows out to transform her material into three-dimensional landscapes. This ‘carte blanche’ takes places ten years after the museum acquired the artist’s “Forest” – her first work to enter a museum collection. The exhibition is presented as a real immersion where the Jospin’s recent works create a whole world to be explored. To this ensemble is added a brand new work, ‘la Galleria’, which gives its name to the exhibition. Evoking the themes dear to Eva Jospin, from Italian baroque gardens to Renaissance studiolos to the evocation of fairytale caves, this new exhibition makes nature, whether real or dreamed, the place of wonder.
