Ermanno Scervino’s Chromatic Blocks Parade
Rigour is the mantra behind Ermanno Scervino’s autumn-winter 2024 collection. This is clear from the very first look on the catwalk, a double-breasted hourglass jacket used as a mini dress. This was clear from the very first look on the catwalk, a double-breasted hourglass jacket used as a mini-dress. His approach was then underlined by the choice to parade the outfits in monochromatic blocks, with a few slight deviations towards tone on tone: first the grey total looks, then the military green ones, the white and cream series, the group from brown to burgundy, then the flesh-coloured and, finally, black. The choice of this clear chromatic division allows the brand to balance the contrasting elements that make up the collection, such as the masculine construction of the heavy outerwear, with the hyper-feminine seduction of the bustier dresses in double wool or leather. The play of proportions is the protagonist and is taken to the extreme in the crocodile-effect leather pieces and the shearling ones, combined with transparent dresses, but also strengthened by the footwear, après-ski boots in ecological fur and tight-fitting ones with large platforms. Among the fans of the brand who applauded the show were Laura Chiatti, Paola Cossentino, Euridice Axen and many others.
