Elina Kechicheva’s photographs on view at Le Crillon

Elina Kechicheva’s photographs are spellbinding. Between land and sea, abandoned venues and desolate landscapes, the Paris-based Bulgarian-born photographer transports the viewer using great aesthetic power. Her work was first discovered at the International Festival of Fashion and Photography in Hyères, then admired in the book “Paradise” by artistic director Patrick Remy. The biggest stars have sat before her lens: Amy Winehouse, Pharrell Williams, and Diane Kruger, as well as top models like Lara Stone, Candice Swanepoel, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Kechicheva is a regular contributor to renowned magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Marie-Claire, and L’Officiel, in addition to independent titles like Russh and Wonderland. At the Hôtel de Crillon—the newly-renovated Parisian luxury hotel that has become a veritable cultural hub—the artist presented her exhibition “Still Seas.” At the opening, which was organized with the support of the Dentsu Aegis Network and Condé Nast, guests immersed themselves in the photographer’s ethereal universe (and some Champagne Perrier-Jouët). “Still Seas” is on view at Hôtel de Crillon until February 28, 2019.
