Elie Saab’s dinner

For no after show in the world would Saywho miss Elie Saab’s dinner, which the designer traditionally gives at the end of his Couture and PAP shows. Our own luxury bubble, away from the hysteria of international editors, and the low blows of fashion worldliness. Elie Saab receives well, and with pomp, in the living rooms of his large apartment of the Trocadero. The view is impregnable, especially when the Eiffel Tower rings the round hours. The Lebanese high society enjoys rosé champagne, mezzés, and all the delights that the diaspora brought back from Mother Earth in its cultural suitcase. In a corner of the living room, a screen diffuses the images of the catwalk, some women try textile analysis, with more or less expertise, but a certain sin for the straw which belongs only to the Near & Middle East. The tops seem strangely out of television, Toni Garrn and Constance Jablonski wander between the deisgn bills, dressed in pieces from the 2013 season. So we’re enjoying ourselves too.

At 11:00 p.m., a shiny mounted play announces our host’s birthday. An army of men in black stormed the lounges, and deposited some fine pastries. We had already eaten too much. Too bad, to fall asleep, we’ll count the sequins of the wedding dress.

Midnight: the atmosphere warms up, the dj switches to the classics. Before joining the dance floor, we smoke a cigarette on the balcony in the company of La Baba, who is given superlatives for her capsule collection at Gripoix.

1:00 a.m : The height of the ceilings has made us grey. These people are, after all, very nice, but tomorrow we’re working. Good night.
