Eden Tinto Collins, Winner of the 24th Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize, Enters the Centre Pompidou Collections

Back in October, Eden Tinto Collins was awarded the 24th Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize for her installation « A Pinch Of Kola », and on Tuesday, June 18th, the laureate saw her work enter the Centre Pompidou collections. This is one of the privileges granted by the Fondation to the prizewinners every year during the award ceremony, as they aim to promote and support the work of young emerging talents.

Eden Tinto Collins’ video installation is inspired by classical texts and Western cultural codes, which the artist makes her own while showing her interest in palimpsest. Her work includes the notions of networks and interdependence as she explores themes such as melancholy, mythology and more. Her installation is made of multiple media: video, sculpture, fresco and seating.
