During FIAC, Artcurial and John Taylor focus on architecture
Not far from the excitement caused by the opening of the FIAC at the Grand Palais, Artcurial opened the doors of its Charlotte Perriand exhibition this week. For four years now, the house has been offering its collectors sales of its Design specialty. It is also the very first sale dedicated to a woman, and not the least. An immense figure in French architecture, close to Le Corbusier and Jean Prouvé, Perriand is one of those “French Masters” who revolutionised the conception of architecture and design in the second half of the 20th century. Thus the sale of 20 lots scheduled for October 24 is an event eagerly awaited by collectors around the world. This week, Artcurial with John Taylor invited his followers to discover emblematic pieces such as the “Maison du Mexique” library or the “Cansado” chest during an evening, supported by the complicity of Givenchy Make Up and Champagne Mumm. Far from stopping at a specific offer, Artcurial also unveiled the pieces from the Eye Feel Photography sale and the Urban Art works destined to be sold in December. Finally, the ground floor of the Hôtel Marcel Dassault welcomed the architect Joseph Dirand for the signature of his book published by Rizzoli New York, “Joseph Dirand Intérieur”.
