Drawing Now Paris Kicks Off its 18th Edition at Carreau du Temple

Carreau du Temple, Paris

In Paris, the arrival of spring comes hand in hand with Drawing Now Paris, which runs from March 27th to 30th at Carreau du Temple. Led by Christine Phal and Carine Tissot, this exceptional fair is the first in Europe exclusively dedicated to drawing. This year, the fair welcomes no less than 300 artists and 71 galleries, divided into three sections: the General sector for artist focus, the Insight sector for discovering lesser-known artists, and the Process sector for special projects. Entitled “dessin?”, this year’s edition provides a state of the art of drawing and will feature many moments of exchange to enlighten the public on the challenges of contemporary drawing.

The opening was also an opportunity to announce the Drawing Now 2025 prize winner, which went to Susanna Inglada for her collage drawings that reflect the mechanisms of power in our society. She won a 5,000 euros endowment, as well as 10,000 euros for production support for a 3-month exhibition at the Drawing Lab and the publication of a monographic catalogue. We met prizewinner Susanna Inglada alongside her gallerist Maurits van de Laar and Drawing Lab founder Christine Phal, as well as the show’s artistic director Joana P.R Neves, Marion Papillon, Beatrice Salmon, Daniel Templon, Agnes Thurnauer, Nathalie Obadia, Claire Luna…
