Drawing Now Art Fair kicks off its 13th edition
Drawing Now Art Fair–Europe’s contemporary art fair dedicated exclusively to drawing–opened its latest edition this week at the Carreau du Temple in Paris. Created by Christine Phal and run by Carine Tissot, Joana P.R. Neves joined the team as the appointed artistic director. The fair, which runs until March 31st and overlaps with the wider Month of Drawing, brings together 72 international galleries and nearly 300 artists. Philippe Piguet–last year’s Drawing Now artistic director–has brought together some 20 masterpieces. The annual Drawing Now Prize was presented on Wednesday to the artist Lucie Picandet, who is represented by the Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois gallery (she was also the winner of the Emerige Revelations Prize in 2015). The prize includes an endowment of 5000 euros and the opportunity to exhibit work at the Drawing Lab in Paris.
