Drawing House: a new hotel opens its doors in Montparnasse
Small, confidential hotels with curious décor and unique charm are springing up all over the capital. Yet there’ s nothing quite like the Drawing House. From floor to ceiling, everything in this boutique hotel revolves around contemporary drawing. To decorate its second address in Paris, the founding duo of the Drawing Society, Carine Tissot and Christine Phal, gave free rein to the creative talents of tomorrow. Following in the footsteps of Douanier Rousseau and Josephine Baker, Mathieu Dufois, Karine Rougier – winner of the 2022 Drawing Now prize – Alexandre and Florentine Lamarche-Ovize, Daniel Otero Torres, Lucie Picandet and Jeanne Susplugas invested the place. On Friday evening, the inauguration brought together artists and friends of the Drawing Society on rue Vercingétorix, in the traditional heart of Parisian cultural life.
