Domenico Orefice, a Style that Finds Its Light
Domenico Orefice chose Fondazione Sozzani as the stage for the show, marking his official entry into the calendar of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Titled Lumen, the collection embodies a moment of sharp focus for the aesthetics of the now former enfant prodige from Naples. A language that has long been recognisable takes on a more precise and structured form here, crystallising the designer’s vision with new clarity. The show unfolds as a metaphor for the brand’s creative journey: a layered narrative in which sportswear and tailoring engage in a more conscious, deliberate dialogue. Volumes remain oversized but are no longer pushed to excess, giving way to a sequence of silhouettes defined by accuracy and intention. Italian savoir-faire stands as a central pillar of Orefice’s work, particularly in the treatment of leather. A signature material for the brand, it takes shape in this collection through upcycled materials and techniques developed in collaboration with the emerging specialist label Demiurgo. Among the key developments is the introduction of shearling, through which the brand explores new tactile densities. Another notable debut comes in the form of accessories—bags and footwear—entirely produced in Italy, alongside the launch of shirting as a new category. Several influential friends of the brand were present to support this important milestone, including Mondo Marcio, Beatrice Marchetti, Alice Perego and La B.Fujiko
