In Toulon, Villa Noailles kicks off the fourth edition of Design Parade

Design Parade 2019: here we go! The Villa Noailles announced the juries of its two editions in Toulon (interior design) and Hyères (design) in March at the Mobilier National. Now in the South, in the warmth of the Var, there were four days of exhibitions between Toulon and Hyères, as well as long lunches along the water, and the much-awaited award ceremony at the end. The weekend began in Toulon with the opening of the interior design sector, chaired by François Champsaur. Jean-Pierre Blanc and Pascale Mussard (President of Design Parade) opened the “Nouvelles Vagues” exhibition at the Cercle Naval in Toulon. The exhibition, designed by India Mahdavi and art directed by Marie-Ange Brayer, presented the design collections of the Centre Pompidou with a “seat” theme, from deckchairs to chaise longues designed throughout the last century. Serge Lasvignes (President of the Centre Pompidou) attended alongside the Mayor of Toulon Hubert Falco. The fun continued at the former Diocese—the heart of the festival—which displayed pieces created by the finalists, as well as an exhibition of François Champsaur’s work. At dusk, the guests gathered at the Fort du Cap Brun for an al fresco dinner before hitting the dance floor.
