Dazzling Venice nights with Tina Kunakey and Catherine Deneuve

The Venice Biennale is not only a place to breathe art, but also an opportunity to meet and walk out your fanciest evening gowns. And so, while everything is going as it should, the Venetian nights are lit up with parties celebrating art and life. From big fashion houses to leading art galleries, there were plenty of events framing this pre-opening week. No wonder! On the one hand, the entire art world is coming to Venice to discover the Pavilions; on the other, actors, influencers and journalists are running from one event to the next to the rhythm of flashes.

The Dior Maison has become a key donor of the Venice Biennale. It staged a special charity gala dinner on Saturday, April 23, inside Venice’s Teatro La Fenice: a portion of the funds raised will be donated to Ukrainian refugees in Italy. This charity event will also benefit the preservation and promotion of the Venetian cultural legacy, particularly or notably the restoration of Ca’d’Oro Museum, paying tribute to the passion for artistic dialogues that is so dear to the French House. Among the guests we spotted Rosamund Pike, Camille Cottin, Catherine Deneuve, Laetitia Casta and Maya Hawke.

A day before, Maison Valentino hosted a special dinner, at the Tese di San Cristoforo in the Venice Arsenal, to mark the opening of the Italian Pavilion (the Maison is one of main sponsors of the Italian Pavilion). Few steps away, on the same day, the Swiss Pavilion was celebrating the Moroccan artist, Latifa Echakhch, with a party organized by Kamel Mennour, where some of Valentino’s guests decided to head to once the dinner was over: among the lucky few were Gilda Ambrosio, Pierpaolo Piccioli himself, Destinee Rose-Sutton and Susie Lau.Friday night out in Venice could not be complete without a cocktail party hosted by Ruinart. After Paris, the Maison continues to celebrate its collaboration with the Danish artist Jeppe Hein in Italy. In addition to the fancy cocktail night, the Ruinart team also held a splendid dinner on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, Pace Gallery inaugurated “Louis Nevelson Persistence” with an intimate party at Caffè Florian, the oldest café in the world. Though the celebrities were many to light all of these fabulous nights, the main star of all these beautiful evenings could only be Venice and its charm…
