The Beckham couple definitely definitely have more than one string to their bow. Like Victoria, who has gone from singer to world-renowned fashion designer, David is multi-talented: footballer, model, muse, UNICEF ambassador… he is also an entrepreneur. Just four years ago, he co-founded Haig Club with Simon Fuller (former Spice Girls impresario). The whisky brand, created in partnership with Diageo, the world’s leading alcoholic beverage company (which owns Guinness and Johnnie Walker, to name but a few), has so far only been sold in the United Kingdom. In mid-October, Haig Club celebrated the launch of the brand in France on a rooftop in Paris’ 18th arrondissement. With the illuminated Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, David Beckham presented the whisky and its emblematic blue bottle. Haig Club is produced in one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Cameron Bridge, founded by John Haig. Under the neon lights on the roof terrace, guests got in the party mood with live performances by Pépite and L’Impératrice, while discovering the sweet aroma of Haig Club whisky… always in good company.
