Craig McDean presents his new book with Byredo
Ben Gorham (creator of Byredo) and Craig McDean (British photographer) have been working together since 2013. The photographer’s latest monograph, “McDean Manual,” traces the his passion for muscle cars—a passion he shares with Ben Gorham, and which inspired the campaign for the first line of Byredo bags in 2017 that McDean photographed. The two friends organized a series of events in Byredo stores, as well as a limited-edition collection of objects inspired by the book. After hosting a signing in Byredo’s London boutique on September 16th—Naomi Campbell was in attendance—an event followed during Paris Fashion Week on rue Saint-Honoré. The Paris book event and capsule collection (cap, lighters, t-shirts) brought out Grace Coddington, Anja Rubik, Georgia Fowler, Lukas Ionesco and Peter Philips.
