CR Fashion Book Dance
PFW night 8 – Last night, the final bouquet of fashion nights was launched by Carine Roitfeld, Stephen Gan and Mercedes-Benz at Shangri-La for the release of the second issue of CR Fashion Book.
This time entirely dedicated to the art of dance, it comes as no surprise that the biannual features the greatest names in fashion and the illustrious close friends of this irreverent editor: Bruce Weber, Karl Lagerfeld, Rick Owens, Irina Shayk, Saskia de Brauw, Kati Nescher, Ashleigh Good, Gisele Bündchen….and Gus van Sant, who signs both covers.
Although it pushes the limits of the fashion press and fits in with the bold editorial line that Queen Roitfeld has constantly claimed since the Vogue years, the 340-page grail will never be as sublime as the evening given in her honour. Fashion as a whole responded to the festive call of its sovereign, galvanized by the end of the priesthood and the Belvedere cocktails. Black Tie for elegance, Marie-Agnès Gillot to open the ball, and Kate Moss to shake it. A great, great lesson in worldliness.
