Cour de Rome, Charles de Vilmorin’s Unexpected Fashion Show

Here’s a young man in a rush. First spotted on Instagram and freshly graduated from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, Charles de Vilmorin presented his first collection at the age of 22, a feat followed by his appointment as Rocha’s artistic director the following year. Three seasons later, he decided to fly solo and launch an eponymous brand, epitomised by his signature Saint Laurent 3.0 look, which has this je ne sais quoi that makes him simply irresistible. At 26, with his unmistakable long hair and squared glasses, looking slightly innocent, he can be proud of being one of the favourite designers for both the public and professionals. Yesterday, the young man unveiled another instalment of his unique creative world at the Cour de Rome in Paris, which locals use to transit in a rush as they fear missing their train at the Gare Saint Lazare. Amazed by the most striking outfits parading on the catwalk, we spotted Ellen von Unwerth, Nikita Vlassenko, Pierre Painchaud, Olivier Coursier, Romain Broussard, and Sophie Fontanel.
