Contemporary art and excellence meet at Emerige’s Beaupassage

It is fair to say that “passages” are something typically Parisian. Today, Emerige explores their beauty by offering passers-by an alternative to the street’s tumult, and inviting Parisians as well as tourists to an unexpected and poetic break. Beaupassage is a place where time stops, located in Paris’ historic 7th arrondissement between Boulevard Raspail, Rue de Grenelle and Rue du Bac. It is designed by Franklin Azzi Architecture, B&B Architects and landscape architect Michel Desvigne. Beaupassage also gathers craftsmen like Pierre Hermé, Thierry Marx, Anne-Sophie Pic, Yannick Alléno… It is a unique place in which one enters through the path of contemporary art. At the entrance located on Rue de Grenelle, “Les Deux Chênes”, a life-size molding and a 70m2 fresco by artist Fabrice Hyber, welcomes passers-by before they dive into “La Traversée” by Eva Jospin which runs along the wall of Passage Raspail. This dreamlike nature accompanied the guests attending the much-awaited opening, including Sarah Poniatowski-Lavoine, Mathieu Lehanneur, Chantal Crousel, Jean Pigozzi, Colette Barbier, Loris Gréaud or India Mahdavi, in the presence of Anne Hidalgo and Rachida Dati who officially inaugurated the place.
