Closing evening of the Cabourg Festival

The 26th edition of the Cabourg Romantic Film Festival was a great success. After four days of uninterrupted screenings, the Grand Hotel unrolled its red carpet to the highest dignitaries of French cinema, the time to present its Swann d’Or (awards of the small Norman holiday resort). “Xavier Dolan’s “Laurence Anyways” receives the Grand Prix of the festival, while “De Rouille et d’os”, the great forgotten Cannes film, is crowned best film. Swann of the best actress for Léa Seydoux – ethereal reader of Marie-Antoinette, and male version for Jérémie Rénier, masterly in Cloclo’s ersatz. Recipient of the Swann d’honneur, Vanessa Paradis was also on the coast to defend the film “Je me suis tout petit”, alongside Denis Ménochet and Léa Drucker. Then followed, in chronological order: a large dinner with sea view, a recital that gave us shivers, the Baron’s party, and some night baths at the most undue hours of this Sunday, June 17.
