Cindy Chao becomes a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres
Last year, jewelry artist Cindy Chao celebrated the 15th anniversary of her eponymous brand, Cindy Chao The Art of Jewel. On this occasion, she was given the honor of joining the Galerie des Bijoux at Musée des Arts Décoratifs with her Ruby Butterfly Brooch. One of the few Asian designers to receive this honor, Cindy Chao has distinguished herself for the excellence of her creations and her exquisite craftsmanship stemming from thousand-year-old techniques. Inspired by the French jewelry heritage, she draws inspiration from France and knows its heritage well. Today, the country has officially recognized her talent and influence. On November 17, Cindy Chao received the insignia of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters from the hands of the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot. This distinction attests to her contribution to the influence of arts and letters in France and in the world. The ceremony at the Ministry of Culture continued with a private dinner at Kaspia with friends of the designer, Chantal Thomass, Diana Picasso, Olivier Echaudemaison or Clémence and Didier Krzentowski.
