Christoph Rumpf and Alice Mann win the 34th Hyères Festival

After a weekend of exhibitions and discoveries, full of fashion and sunshine, the winners of this 34th Hyères Festival were declared. Workshops, performances and conferences gave way to the afternoon announcement: festival-goers gathered at the Hangar de la Mouture for a final défilé. At the end of the show, Natacha Ramsay-Levi and her jury awarded the Grand Prix du Jury Premiere Vision to the Austrian designer Christoph Rumpf, while Tina Schwizgebel-Wang received the Chloé Prize from CEO Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, and Róisín Pierce won the Prix des Métiers d’Art in collaboration with Chanel (as well as the City of Hyères public prize). The jury’s special mention went to the Japanese trio Tetsuya Doi, Yota Azanawa and Manami Toda. On the photography side, South African photographer Alice Mann left with the Grand Prix du Jury, awarded by Craig McDean, while the festival partner American Vintage presented its prize to the French photographer Hubert Crabières. Finally, Charlotte Chesnais crowned the Spanish designer Noelia Morales for the Swarovski Fashion Accessories Grand Prize. To celebrate, everyone partied at the open air-concert by Lulu Van Trapp, held at sunset…
