“Ondes et Merveilles”: Chaumet surfs the wave at Hôtel Molitor Pool
Maison Chaumet called its new Haute Joaillerie collection “Ondes et Merveilles” (“Waves and Wonders” in English), echoing the ripples of water and the wonders summoned by the sea, tirelessly, to the soothing rhythm of the waves. But since 12 Vendôme is not hemmed in by the ocean, the House of Chaumet had the rich idea of transporting itself to the Molitor swimming pool, one of the most iconic locations in South-West of Paris. This temple of aquatic joys constructed in the 1930s, was recently renovated, and ever since has become THE big pool for a highly demanding public. For this exceptional evening, Chaumet covered 3/4 of the large pool to install a sparkling feast, decorated with coral flowers by Studio CE, and collaborated with the starred chef Julien Dumas, who imagined a selection of courses for the occasion. Highlights included: mermaids, dancers, aerial ballet and an energizing DJ set that kept guests from all over the world dancing till late. Miss Song, Diane Kruger, Heart Evangelista, Coco Rocha, Sandrine Kiberlain and Cindy Bruna enjoyed this fabulous evening, celebrating the art of Parisian High Jewelry, that those lucky enough to be invited, undoubtedly, will remember for a lifetime.
