Mehdi Kerkouche Kicks Off “Chaillot Expérience” #1
As part of the European Heritage Days programme, Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse launched the very first edition of “Chaillot Expérience”. The event took place over the weekend of September 16 to 17, with choreographer and dancer Mehdi Kerkouche as guest of honour. For this 4th edition of “OnDanseChezVous”, held at the Trocadéro, Chaillot-Tnd opened up the walls of its venue to let art unfold freely throughout the space.
Over the course of these two days, performances, initiations and artistic exchanges took place uninterruptedly. It was a genuine dance marathon, featuring performances by Mehdi Kerkouche and his dance company EMKA, solo performances by Fauve Hautot, Manon Bouquet and Ambra Senatore, and the participation of many other artists. Last but not least, participants of all ages could also attend a series of introductory ateliers, including La Big Berta’s on drag, Margaux Motin’s on drawing, Bruno Bouché’s on classical dance, and Marie-Agnès Gillot’s for a disco bar… It was a delightful show that highlighted inclusivity and originality in all its dimensions.
The weekend was all about sharing too, as it served to rais funds for the Cékedubonheur association, which has been improving the daily lives of hospitalized children and teenagers since 2004.
