Chaillot Expérience Brasil! Puts the Brazilian Cultural Scene in the Spotlight
On September 20th and 21st, the Brazilian spirit took over the Théâtre national de la Danse over the course of a weekend. Chaillot Expérience Brasil! celebrates the cultural diversity of Latin America’s biggest country through demonstrations of Funk Carioca and Passinho (new dances originating from the Favélas), but also musical performances, Batucada drum shows and concerts by artists such as Mateus Fazeno Rock and Don L. Guests were also able to enjoy many samba and Funk Carioca workshops, and could also discover capoeira with Puma Camillê or the fabrication secrets of carnival’s headdress.
Organised during the 2025 Brazil-France cultural season, in partnership with the Bienal Internacional de dança do Ceará, this edition of Chaillot Expérience was exceptionally free on the occasion of the European Heritage Days. The event turned the Théâtre national de la Danse into a place of transmission thanks to a total immersion into a diverse culture and the artists, dancers and musicians who keep it alive.
