Chaillot Expérience #4 ‘Party’: A Celebration of Youth
As the year comes to an end, Chaillot Expérience #4 invited young people from all horizons to make the Théâtre national de la Danse move to the rhythm of today’s most exciting dance trends. A showcase for the abundant creativity of the new generation, this Chaillot Expérience included performances, workshops, film screenings, dance battles, parties for kids, immersive dance experiences and, true to the event’s party theme, a selection of upbeat sounds.
Setting the pace for this festive weekend, Kaori Ito presented her performance “Battle mon cœur” starring Louis Gillard and Issue Park, who presented autobiographical choreographies, then invited the audience to join them on stage for a collective celebration of life and dance. A perfect introduction before DJ sets by duo Sims and MayDin, as well as the MazelFreten company opened the way to a real party.
The Electro Dance World Cup was also held during these festivities, in collaboration with the Life’s Round Contest, which brings together the world’s best electro dancers.
Coming up in February: a Chaillot Experience focusing on Pop culture, followed by a final one in April exploring the close ties between dance and fashion.
