Celebrating Rouge G, Guerlain’s Jewel Lipstick
In 1870, Guerlain wrote a new chapter on the history of make-up with “Ne m’oubliez pas”, the very first lipstick in a tube.
This year, the House is celebrating the latest generation of Rouge G, another signature product first launched in 1954, and given a makeover by Place Vendôme jeweller Lorenz Bäumer, who integrated a double-mirror jewel into its case in 2009. Endlessly customisable with this new array of nine beautifully crafted cases, the collection is also being upgraded thanks to an ultra-care version with 40 highly pigmented, long-lasting shades in satin or velvet matt versions.
To celebrate the launch, Guerlain hosted an exclusive dinner during Fashion Week with international ambassador Natalia Vodianova and Make-up Creative Director Violette.
Held in a private apartment overlooking the Jardin des Tuileries, the evening also brought together Guerlain Middle East and Spanish ambassadors Balqees Fathi and Blanca Suárez, alongside Gabrielle Caunesil, Léna Mahfouf, Hanan Besovic (@ideservecouture), Jessica Athayde, Fu Dongnuan, Rocío Osorno, Franziska Nazarenus, Beatrice Valli, Jessica De Oliveira, María Bernad, Ikram Abdi, Harold James and Bach Buquen. This celebratory event was an opportunity to highlight Guerlain’s avant-garde vision of beauty and the ties between its timeless Rouge G and the vibrant world of Couture.
