Celebrating another season of men’s fashion in Paris

Now a tradition every season, the Chambre syndicale de la mode masculine organized this Friday its cocktail in honor of a new week of fashion shows, presentations and events as Fashion Week for men was coming to an end. The spring/summer 2019 collections were a milestone for some, notably Virgil Abloh who made his much-awaited debut at Louis Vuitton. At Musée Picasso, Pascal Morand invited those who make men’s fashion today to celebrate all the successes of the week. We met the seasoned designers Felipe Oliveira Bapstisa, Alexandre Mattiussi, Lutz Huelle or the duo Lucie and Luke Meier (Jil Sander). Still it is the presence of young designers like Henri Alexander (Enfants riches et déprimés), Pierre Kaczmarek and Elena Mottola (Afterhomework) or Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty (Cottweiler) that hints at the bright future of men’s fashion in Paris. With a concert by flamenco singer Paloma Pradal, the evening continued at sunset as Paris is already preparing to welcome the couture week very soon…
