Carte Blanche For Jean Francois Fourtou And Bae Bien-U At Park Hyatt Vendôme
Living and working in Marrakech, French artist Jean-François Fourtou is creating a dialogue between his artwork and pieces by Bae Bien-U in the gardens and lounges of the beautiful Park Kyatt Vendôme Hotel. The exhibition is curated by Constance Breton and created in collaboration with Galerie RX. In the 90’s, Fourtou made a name for himself thanks to his unusual animal sculptures, and then with bizarre and disconcerting architectures such as La Maison de Géant or La Maison à l’Envers. Until the end of the 2010’s, new strange creatures called Nanitos, were added to his fantastic and rather strange universe, thus referring to childhood.
Bae Bien-U had been a photographer for more than forty years and is now considered as one of the greatest Korean photographers. Two icons of contemporary art, the artists invited a few friends to inaugurate this exhibition.
