Sitting front row at the Byblos Fall/Winter 2019 show in Milan
Milan Fashion Week is officially here! This season, Italy’s fashion capital is showing its best designers’ collections under a bright sun. After a spectacular comeback last September, Byblos once again made the news with a highly anticipated show. The collection, entitled “Crystallized,” also marks a turning point in the brand’s history by embracing a sustainable approach. Creative director Manuel Facchini took inspiration from the purity of Arctic ice crystals and boreal lights. With this collection, Byblos emphasized athletic silhouettes by way of second-skin suits, and “piumini” reinforced with 3D protection reminiscent of what hockey players wear on the ice. Top model Winnie Harlow (who also appears in the brand’s ad campaigns) closed the show on Manuel Facchini’s arm. Sitting front row were Nadege Dubospertus, Italian actress Eva Riccobono, and Dino Facchini, the founder of Byblos back in 1974.
