British Coolness According to Iceberg
Iceberg’s pop spirit embraces a fresh nuance in the Spring-Summer 2026 collection. For this season, Creative Director James Long draws upon his own cultural heritage as a forty-something Londoner, reimagining Britpop’s iconic aesthetics through a Milanese prism. “I love the freedom of Iceberg,” he explains. “That’s the mood of the season, with the Italian sportswear state-of-mind mixed with an English point-of-view.” So, in 2025—the very year that marks the Oasis reunion—the runway welcomes back the crisp silhouettes that defined the mid-Nineties. Shirt-collared jackets steal the spotlight for both men and women, styled with neckerchiefs and wide trousers. Cream parkas reveal navy linings and unmistakably sportswear details, bringing a subtle edge to the collection. Knitwear takes its rightful place at the heart of the story: body-skimming lines, long-sleeved polos with contrast collars, and airy dresses traced with diagonal dropped stitches that contour the figure. Striped shirts, adorned with sporty shoulder panels, are worn doubled-up, layered with nonchalant ease. Everything is built on layering, mixing, and remixing—an interplay of references and echoes that feels both nostalgic and distinctly contemporary.
