Boris Kurdi wins the 22nd Pernod Ricard Prize

In September, the Pernod Ricard Foundation inaugurated “Bonaventure (Trafiquer les mondes)”, a new exhibition presenting the works of the 22nd edition of its prize. Curated by Lilou Vidal, the exhibition invites visitors to project themselves into other worlds to escape the turmoil and uncertainty of our society. One week before the closing of the exhibition, Colette Barbier invited friends of the Foundation to a grand evening at the end of which the young artist Boris Kurdi was chosen as the winner of the 22nd edition of the Prize. The ceremony, which included a tour of the exhibition and a performance by the artist Lola Gonzàlez in front of the Foundation, was attended by Alexandre Ricard, Laurent Le Bon, Bernard Blistène as well as artists Sophie Calle and Nina Childress. Since 1999, the Pernod Ricard Prize has been awarded to a French artist under the age of 40, and consists of the purchase of an artwork by the winner, which is then donated to the Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Pompidou. The exhibition runs until October 30 at the Pernod Ricard Foundation.
