“Bono: Stories of Surrender” Explores the Hectic Life of an Iconic Musician
For once, lead singer of U2 Bono didn’t take to the stage, but rather climbed the stairs of the Cannes Film Festival. As part of the official competition, the Irish musician presents a film adaptation of his show “Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief…”. This version provides a more detailed account of his extraordinary musical journey, but also tells of his loved ones, his faith, his role as father, son and husband. From exclusive anecdotes to mythical songs from the band that shaped our childhood, Bono reveals himself like never before. Alongside the singer on the red carpet, we met Dede Gardner, Jacknife Lee, The Edge, Sean Penn, Kristen Stewart, Amal Clooney and many others.
