Bluemarble Comes Up with a Nostalgic and Carefree Wardrobe
As winter Fashion Week gets underway, Bluemarble presents a refreshing wardrobe made of bright, intense colours. Sky blue, bright red and lime tones blend beautifully, balancing out the darker shades of the season. And yet, winter is very much the theme of Anthony Alvarez’s collection. From heavy jackets to long coats, furs to cardigans, scarves to fleeces, the looks are definitely designed for the outdoors. There are high boots reminiscent of riding boots, T-shirts praising the countryside, jackets adorned with badges similar to those of the American Boy Scouts, and even a few shirts with a revisited lumberjack motif.
With its bright colours and clothes intended for outdoor activities, the collection feels like a throwback to a carefree childhood and unforgettable vacations at the farm, away from any responsibility. Its name, “Le Quatre Heures” (afternoon snack), is no doubt just another proof of that, as are the various ages of the models who walked the runway. With Bluemarble, anyone can enjoy an afternoon snack! At the show, we met Rich the kid, Heart Evangelista and Nigel Xavier, among others.
