Blackcrows, When Mountains Meet the City
On Thursday 19 October, the French freeski brand Blackcrows opened the doors of its new boutique in the capital of Fashion.
Born in the very heart of Chamonix’s winter scene, Blackcrows offers a range of equipment designed to meet the needs of a variety of ski practices, ensuring both technical performance and a timeless silhouette. The brand was founded by professional freeskiers Camille Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet along with CEO Christophe Villemin, out of a conversation over the course of a meal in the Chamonix resort. The three skiing enthusiasts were brought together by their shared vision: to create the best tools for life in the mountains, adaptable to all types of practice. The gear is made in Europe and designed by Yorgo Tloupas. Taking things a step further, the brand is partnering with Chamonix for the Unlimited Music Festival, an event already sponsored by the brand since 2010. The upcoming edition of the festival, which consists of a week-long gathering in Chamonix blending music and skiing, will take place from March 25th to April 1st 2024.
The new Parisian shop is the realisation of a dream: to build a community gathering place that offers an immersive experience for lovers of skiing, music, art and culture. During the opening evening, which heralded the start of the winter season and featured a DJ set by Inès Mélia, we met Kasja Larsson, TerriblementM, Bastien Grimal, Christophe Villemin, and Micheal Bird Schafer, to name but a few.
