Berluti Sets the Codes for a New Masculine Elegance
Nestled in a foothill of the Parc Monceau, the private mansion of the Institut de France, home to the Simone and Cino del Duca Foundation, is a 17th-century marvel. To celebrate the opening of Paris Fashion Week, Berluti has taken this cultural landmark and created a whole scenography under its magnificent ceiling, blending high-end designer furniture and its latest collection. The collection revolves around the pieces that have forged the Maison’s reputation, that is, its mastery of leather and new leather goods, which sets out the codes for a sense of elegance that makes the bearers of its pieces stand out from the crowd. The venue’s grandeur was matched by that of the proposals by the Maison, which has delivered for almost 130 years unmatched pieces, enhanced by Malik Djoudi’s soft, melodious voice, which lured us into the adjoining garden. Alongside Berluti’s president Jean-Marc Mansvelt, we met the attentive eyes of Ahmad Kontar, Baptiste Giabiconi, Johnes Nascimento, Andreas Giesen, Samuel Bensoussan, Ben Ahlers, Noa Schnapp, and Scott Morton.
