Beaux Arts Magazine Celebrates its 40th Anniversary

Founded in 1983, Beaux Arts Magazine celebrated its 40th anniversary with a dinner and party attended by over a thousand people on November 22.

A best-selling cultural magazine in France, Beaux Arts Magazine offers an informed, cutting-edge take on cultural and artistic news. By featuring major works from all periods and art forms, Beaux Arts Magazine has established itself as the leading monthly arts magazine in France, unrivalled by any publication in the Western world! To mark the occasion, the December issue features a special 60-page dossier. The paper takes a look at art, design, architecture, fashion and film in 40 years’ time, in 2063, as seen by specialists from around the world.

Before 2063, this impressive pool of talent was celebrated at the anniversary party, which opened with a moving speech by Frédéric Jousset, owner of Beaux Arts & Cie, surrounded by Solenne Blanc, managing director, and Fabrice Bousteau, legendary editor-in-chief, and their teams. Guests included Blanca Li, Eva Jospin, Anri Sala, Emmanuel Perrotin, Florence Aubenas, Nathanaël Karmitz, Sophie Calle, Veronique Nichanian, Bijoy Jain, Manish Arora and many other artists, designers, architects and gallery owners, as well as the presidents of the Musée d’Orsay, the CMN, the Mobilier National, the Cartier and Pinault foundations, ministers and other leading figures in the art world.

The concerts by Simone Ringer and Lucie Antunes were exceptional, topped off by a DJ set by the legendary Dan Ghenacia that lasted until 3 am!
