While the sun is currently playing hard to get in Paris, the weather was fortunately quite merciful for the BHV Marais this past week. The department store celebrated the launch of its summer program, called “Ibiza Bohème”, on a barge sailing on the Seine river. We may be far from the Mediterranean sea, still the spirit of Ibiza lives on. Ibiza, the “holy land of artists, dreamers, and night owls”, has always had a magical aura beyond endless parties and excess. The BHV Marais is celebrating this limitless source of inspiration until July 31, by inviting designers who are the perfect representatives of the island, such as former top model and now candle-maker Iguna Butane, photographer Arno Bani or Belgian designer Geoffroy Gillieaux, who has also been based on the island for several years now. For this official launch, leaving the mainland for the evening was an evidence – and of course, it couldn’t have been without some good music. With an exclusive live performance by Corine, the BHV Marais guests quickly felt the sweet Iberian warmth. Among them, we met Elsa Zylberstein, singer Shy’m or model Willy Cartier. Ibiza Bohème is not an experience you only live in store, it’s also a whole program of pop-ups and animations like the “after work drinks” in the BHV de l’Homme’s courtyard or at Le Perchoir, which has been re-decorated to match the theme… Now you can travel far away without even leaving Paris.
