Preview of the Soeurs Jumelles 2023 Festival Over the Presentation Dinner
Based in Rochefort aFounded by Julie Gayet in Rochefort in 2021, the Soeurs Jumelles festival aims to create synergies between professionals and artists, authors and composers from the fields of image and music. Over the course of 5 days, the festival proposes a variety of activities designed to give amateurs and professionals alike a broader and deeper insight into their domain. Debates, concerts, performances and even (professional) speed dating – a new proposal of this year’s edition. Located at the Corderie Royale, the Théâtre de la Coupe d’Or and at the quays of the Charente, the past edition had already confirmed the festival’s notoriety, gathering artists like Stephan Eicher, Alex Beaupain or Dani. Last night, however, it wasn’t in La Rochelle but in a Parisian restaurant where Julie Gayet and her team met to herald the upcoming 3rd edition of the Festival. A former train station dating from 1867, Le Poinçon was the chosen venue for this festive evening, punctuated by Aurélie Saada’s musical performance. An opportunity to celebrate and highlight the importance of these sometimes overlooked professions, and present the new features of the 2023 edition. It was thus under this banner of solidarity and exchange that guests like Mercedes Era, Alexia Laroche Joubert, Catherine Rambert and Aton Soumache, gathered on Thursday 20.
