Avant Garde Horn Brings Together the Work of Valentin Van Der Meulen and Fabien Montique
On December 11th, Avant Garde Horn presented an innovative artistic collaboration between Valentin Van Der Meulen & Fabien Montique. The exhibition brings together sound heritage and contemporary art for an experience that challenges the limits of interdisciplinary creativity. Developed by Tony Tam, a visionary sound designer from Hong Kong, this system uses interchangeable “Art/Resonator” discs that generate a unique range of tones.
The exhibition showcases four large-scale works, two per artist. Printed on aluminum, they are transformed into fascinating sound sculptures thanks to the integration of Avant Garde Horn speakers.
Fabien Montique is a Barbadian-born artist, director, and photographer based in Paris, and known for his collaborations with culture-defining figures in the music and fashion industries including Kanye West and Virgil Abloh. Valentin Van Der Meulen is an internationally renowned Parisian artist represented by Strouk gallery and Au Cube galleries in France, and Reuter Bausch gallery in Luxembourg. His work explores the boundaries of drawing and the human gaze and is currently exhibited at Cercle Cité in Luxembourg.
