Boldness and Technicality: Keys to the Very Successful HEAD Fashion Show 2022
« Only the simple-minded think of fashion as futile » Thus ends Jean-Pierre Greff’s moving closing speech, concluding his career as director of HEAD-Genève, one of the most prestigious fashion schools in Europe. Once again, he underlined the importance of tolerance as well as the crucial role that fashion must play for the future of our societies. Led by German fashion designer Lutz Huelle, a jury of professionals amongst which Sylvette Lepers, Patrick Scallon, Alice Bouleau, Anthea Hamilton and Annik Wetter, was given the difficult task of judging the undergraduate and graduate students after their 2022 graduation fashion show. The students’ original and socially engaged collections were presented inside the Cube, HEAD’s main building on the Charmilles industrial site. The scenography was masterfully realized by the interior design department, under the direction of Bertrand Van Drop and Leonid Slonimskyi.
An important evening for the fashion industry as HEAD alumni are often promised great careers. The international jury decided to reward the boldness and technicality of Louise Jarrige-Le Berre, Gabrielle Huguenot, Xavier Weber, Zoé Marmier and Norman Mabire-Larguier, with four different prizes partners eyes on the talents, Bongénie Grieder, La Redoute and Firmenich.
