For every men’s Fashion Week, on the last day of the shows aficionados go to the Elysée Montmartre to enjoy the British designer’s newest collection. Singer Clara Luciani, actor Jérémy Lorca and actress Alysson Paradis were in attendance despite the extreme Paris heat wave. The focus of the collection, inspired by New York in the 1970s, was the classic suit: in pale pink or mint leather, in white silk crepe or dark blue quilting, in fluorescent yellow or indigo blue cotton. “It’s so interesting for me to watch the other shows: there are a lot of designers coming back to suits this season. Today is show n°82 for us, and we have always featured just the right tailoring,” said Sir Paul Smith backstage. Next year, the brand will celebrate its 50th anniversary—get ready.
