The seventh edition of Asia Now opens its doors in Paris

Created in 2015 by Alexandra and Claude Fain, the Asia Now fair just opened its seventh edition in Paris during Fiac week. The contemporary art fair dedicated to the Asian scene presented its first exhibition seven years ago with Zheng Guogu and the Yangjiang Group during the 56th edition of the Venice Biennale. Today, the fair has gained in importance, becoming one of Paris art week’s major events. For this seventh edition, Asia Now brings together nearly forty galleries, including eight Iranian galleries from Tehran as part of the new Tehran Now platform. Asia Now also offers a rich program of exhibitions and special projects. At the invitation of the fair, curator Kathy Alliou presents ‘Making Worlds Exist’ which brings together a dozen artists. Nicolas Bourriaud curated ‘Shun’, a group show bringing together several artists from the Asian continent. ‘Burning Wings’, a video program curated by Odile Burluraux, highlights the work of Iranian women as a homage to the poet Forough Farrokhzad. Asia Now runs until October 24 at 9 avenue Hoche, Paris.
