ASHI’s Voluptuous Haute Couture Fashion Show Asserts His Exaggerated Femininity
Last year, ASHI scored quite a remarkable entry in the official calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, becoming the very first couturier from the Gulf region to join the institution, composed exclusively of some thirty maisons. Launched in Beyrouth in 2007, ASHI moved a decade later to the French capital, where it presented its voluptuous and exaggerated vision of femininity this past Thursday. Praised for their sensual silhouettes and meticulous finishes, Ashi’s creations are often seen on red carpets or worn by stars such as Padukone, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Spectacular gowns celebrating the very best of savoir-faire are Mohammed Ashi’s signature, and prove he is a leading specialist in the use of satin, silk and draped tulle, sometimes adorned with feathers and pearls. In short, ethereal fashion that leaves us in awe, inviting us to daydream. Among the guests in attendance were Tom Hollander, Michelle Williams, Miss Fame, Heart Evangelista, and Sadie Sink, to name but a few.
